This summer, Europe’s coastlines turned into a huge arena for one of the most exciting sailing competitions in the world – The Ocean Race Europe 2025. The regatta started in Kiel, Germany, and finished in our very own Bay of Kotor, after 4,500 miles filled with windy challenges, extraordinary teamwork, and the incredible speed of modern foiling yachts. In the end, the French team Biotherm earned the title of champion, proving that in this sport, preparation, teamwork, and smart strategy are just as important as speed.
Our students had a special opportunity to be part of the grand finale of The Ocean Race Europe 2025 through volunteer work in various segments of the event. After school, from Monday to Friday, they assisted in the Ocean Dome, at the Cockpit Simulator, in the University Pavilion, as well as in the marketing aspect of the event and in collaboration with the Montenegrin National Tourist Organization. Their contribution was not only logistical – through these activities and adventures they also developed communication skills, teamwork, organizational abilities, and practical experience in tourism, sports, and promotion. For our students, it was a valuable opportunity to connect school with real-life challenges and to become an active part of an international event that placed the Bay of Kotor at the center of the world’s sporting map.
