Organized by the Tivat Music School and the Perast String Festival, on Sunday, October 20th at 7 PM, a concert will be held by the Western Balkans Youth Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra Les Essences from Essen.
The program will feature works by Mendelssohn, Bruckner, and Schoenberg. The concert bears the symbolic title “Mendelssohn and Friends – A Message of Peace” and is part of a tour through the countries of the Western Balkans and Central Europe. This ensemble, composed of members from ten European countries, is characterized by a high artistic level and acts as an ambassador of peace and European dialogue through its work.
In this year, 2024, several significant composer anniversaries are being commemorated, such as Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy (215 years), Anton Bruckner (200 years), and Arnold Schoenberg (150 years). In addition to this outstanding musical event, around twenty musicians and two soloists invite classical music lovers and young artists to join them in discussions on European values, thereby promoting intercultural dialogue through the finest gems of classical music, according to the Music School.
The concert will take place at the Tivat Music School hall, and admission is free.
