The municipality of Tivat traditionally joins the celebration of the European Mobility Week from September 16 to 22, which is realized in cooperation with numerous organizations, sports clubs and individuals from Tivat. This year’s motto of the event, which is organized throughout Europe and has the support of the European Commission, is “Shared public spaces”. This actualizes the way in which public spaces are used and perceived in the modern world and highlights the importance of public spaces being used freely and safely by everyone, especially pedestrians and cyclists.
The first in a series of events is the action of cleaning the Župa locality, on the occasion of the International Coastal Cleanup Day, which is initiated and implemented by the informal network of non-governmental organizations Clean Up Montenegro. The action will take place on Monday, September 16, from 9 am to 11 am. Meals and refreshments, gloves and bags have been prepared for the participants, and the participation of a large number of citizens, employees of companies and institutions is expected. The event will also be helped by the Tivat Municipal Company, which will take over the collected waste.
For Tuesday, September 17, from 4 to 7 p.m., a kayak tour is planned on the stretch from Ponte Seljanovo to Opatovo, organized by the Adventurenegrin agency. It is necessary to register for participation, and a sweet surprise has been prepared for all participants.
The bicycle repair workshop organized by the Kotor Triathlon Club will be organized for the second year in a row, on Wednesday, September 18, on the Pine waterfront from 5 to 7 p.m.
The company Eco boats, which this year established environmentally friendly liner shipping in the Bay of Kotor, is joining the action and on Thursday, September 19, will offer free rides to Krašići, at 10 and 11 a.m.
Friday, September 20 will be dedicated to walking tours as the most popular type of active vacation. They will walk under the watchful eye of the experienced Boris Filip, on the route from Gornja Lastva to St. Vida. A gathering of all interested citizens is planned for 3 pm at the monument in Gornja Lastva. Additional activities are expected at the very end of the route.
Adventure club K4 invites all citizens, especially the youngest ones, to a fun ride on rollerblades and scooters (not the electric ones) on the coast in Donja Lastva, on Saturday, September 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fancy women bike ride by Maja Filip is an invitation for all ladies to decorate their bikes and ride them from Pina to the church of St. Rocco in Donja Lastva and back. The drive is planned on Sunday from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
The municipality of Tivat, all the organizers and those who popularize this event year after year with their participation, invite you to join them and spend part of the day in a fun and healthy way in good company.
