At our school, another exceptionally talented athlete is growing up – Simon, a fourth-grade student and dedicated basketball player of the ProBasket club. His love for basketball started very early, thanks to his family. His father, who plays basketball for the Teodo club in Tivat, was his biggest inspiration. As a child, Simon regularly attended his father’s games, cheering him on and supporting his team – and that is where his sports story began. At just five years old, he took his first steps on the basketball court.
He chose basketball because he loves teamwork, the atmosphere of the sports hall, and the clear rules of the game. This combination of discipline and unity is what makes him enjoy every training session.
One of his greatest achievements is winning third place at an international competition in Sarajevo in 2025. However, what he is especially proud of is the team spirit in his club, as well as the friendships he has built. He is also very grateful to his coaches, Marko and Boris, who motivate and guide him every day.

Balancing school and training is not a problem for Simon – school takes place in the morning, while training is in the evening. Thanks to good organization, he manages to complete all his responsibilities and go to training relaxed.
Training is a special part of his day. That is when he feels happy and free, without thinking about other obligations – fully focused on the game and the points he loves to score.

He receives the greatest support from his family. His mother, father, uncle, grandparents are always there for him – they attend his games, cheer him on, and provide everything he needs to progress, including supporting his trips to tournaments with the club.
When it comes to the future, Simon has a clear goal – he wants to become a professional basketball player and one day play in the EuroLeague with his club. His favorite athlete is Džordan Nvora from Red Star Belgrade, and his favorite school subject is physical education.
In the end, Simon shares a strong motivational message: “Never give up!” He also encourages his peers to play sports and live a healthier lifestyle.

The KSI newspaper editorial team wishes Simon lots of success, great games, and the fulfillment of his sporting dreams!
