PYP Discovery Week was an amazing adventure for Years 5 and 6! Students and teachers headed to Vučje, where crisp mountain air, breathtaking scenery and golden fields of swaying grass welcomed them. Surrounded by towering mountain peaks and forests filled with the gentle rustling of leaves, students explored winding trails, discovered the wonders of nature and inquired into the world around them. Delicious meals and tasty treats kept everyone fuelled for the exciting days ahead!
There was never a dull moment, with action-packed team-building competitions, hilarious sack races, relay races and team sports that encouraged collaboration, determination and sportsmanship. During arts and crafts time, students designed their own colourful Vučje-inspired keychains and bracelets to take home as special souvenirs. Every activity brought new opportunities to be creative, work together and make wonderful memories.
As evening settled over the mountains, the fun continued with a cosy movie night, complete with tasty snacks and plenty of laughter. Another evening brought an exciting outdoor adventure as students learned survival skills and how to build and light a fire safely. Gathering around the warm, flickering flames, everyone enjoyed roasting marshmallows while sharing stories and laughter. Between activities, students spent time playing games, chatting with friends and telling funny bedtime stories.

For some students, it was their very first night away from home, but everyone embraced the challenge and demonstrated what it means to be a courageous Risk-Taker. From breathtaking hikes and exciting team challenges to cosy evenings and campfire treats, Discovery Week in Vučje was much more than a school trip.
It was an opportunity to step outside comfort zones, strengthen friendships, connect with nature and grow together. Students returned home with tired feet, happy hearts and unforgettable stories to share!
