During school, it&#8217;s crucial to stand up against<br>bullying and discrimination. Did you know that 1 in every 5 students are experiencing some<br>kind of bullying and discrimination?(Pacer&#8217;s National Bullying Prevention Center) You have<br>the power to make a difference. If you see something that shouldn&#8217;t be happening make sure<br>to speak up! Your voice is more capable of what you think, your voice can create a safer and<br>happier environment for all students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\">HumanRights #EndBullying #SpeakUp #SafeSchools<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Equal Opportunities for All!<br>Every student deserves an equal amount of success. Sadly, over 258 million children don&#8217;t<br>have access to quality education worldwide(UNESCO). At school, everyone should be<br>equal, support your peers, and go against insulting stereotypes. Education is a human right,<br>and what we can do is make sure everyone gets an equal amount of opportunity and<br>success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\">HumanRights #EducationForAll #EqualityMatters #InclusiveSchools<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Respect!<br>Respect is one of the core values that should be shown by everyone. Treating people with<br>dignity and respect, regardless of their background, and lifestyle. A study I found shows that<br>students in an environment with respect perform better academically. (Mertz et al.) Our<br>school should be the place where students feel valued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\">HumanRights #Respect #Dignity #PositiveVibes<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Being able to express yourself:<br>Your voice matters more than you think, expressing yourself is a human right. At school, you<br>should feel free to share your ideas and opinions. But remember, with this freedom comes<br>the responsibility to listen to others and respect different viewpoints. To be able for all of us<br>to experience freedom and to be able to express yourself you have to listen to other pears<br>and respect their expressions. Expressing yourself to others can lead to stronger and more<br>loyal friendships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-small-font-size\">HumanRights #FreedomOfExpression #SpeakYourMind #StudentVoices<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>Stand Up for Human Rights<br>Human rights is everyone&#8217;s business, including you! Whether it&#8217;s helping a new student feel<br>welcome into our community or standing up against another student getting bullied, your<br>actions at school can make a big impact on a student&#8217;s life. Studies show that safe school<br>environments improve students well being and academically.
