At our school and the Music School in Tivat, another remarkable talent is growing – Sofia, a fourth-grade student and a young pianist who is building her world through music and the piano. Her love for music began in early childhood, when she expressed a desire to attend music school. At first, she studied solfeggio, and only later was given the opportunity to choose an instrument. Without hesitation, she chose the piano – an instrument that immediately captured her heart.

Her parents also influenced her choice, as they were not particularly fond of wind instruments, so the piano became a natural option. To help her practice at home, they provided her with an electric piano, which has greatly supported her progress and daily practice.

Although she is still at the beginning of her musical journey, Sofia already has a reason to be proud. She won first place in a school competition – her first major achievement, which gave her additional motivation to continue learning and improving.

Balancing school and music is not always easy. She attends school in the morning, and on Wednesdays and Fridays she goes straight to piano lessons at the music school. Although she sometimes feels tired, she manages to organize her time and dedicate herself to both her studies and music.

She receives great support from her family, as well as from her teacher, Staša Nikolić, who devotes a great deal of attention and patience to her. Sofia especially highlights how much she appreciates her teacher’s approach – always calm, clear, and understanding, helping her correct mistakes and improve. Because of this, she finds working with her a truly wonderful experience.

When it comes to the future, Sofia wants to continue playing the piano and learning new compositions, developing her musical talent step by step.

Her favorite music comes from the group KATSEYE, while her favorite school subject is art. Her motivational message is simple and sincere: “Do only what you truly want to do!” She shares the same message with her peers.

The KSI newspaper editorial team wishes Sofia much success, inspiration, and many beautiful musical moments on her journey to great stages!
