Watching movies is always an amazing activity to do, whether it be with friends, family, or just on your own. 2026 has been an incredibly strong year for movies, breaking the new norms of movie-making to make instant classics and films that break the box office.

Project Hail Mary (2026)
A science fiction movie about the beauty of life and friendships. Dr. Ryland Grace finds himself in space alone, needing to find a way to save his planet from a star-eating alien, Astrophage. In this, he finds a different sort of alien, Rocky, on a similar mission. Fans describe this movie as “one of the only universes where Orpheus turning around actually saved Eurydice.”

Iron Lung (2026)
If you are a fan of science fiction and horror, Iron Lung is a wonderful movie for you to watch. It follows a convict, Simon, as he tries to get his freedom from The Consolidation of Iron by exploring a blood-covered moon called AT-5. Unfortunately, something down there takes an interest in him.
Warning for readers with younger children: This movie contains cursing, as well as blood and major character death. It is not suitable for younger audiences.

Coyote Vs. Acme (2026)
A comedy film written and animated in a similar style to “Who Framed Roger Rabbit?”, Wile E. Coyote is working to sue Acme Corporation for their defective devices used while chasing Road Runner. In part, it also follows the premise of the conclusion in Albert Camus’s “The Myth of Sisyphus”, “The struggle itself towards the heights is enough to fill a man’s heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy.”

Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender
This movie is set about 10-13 years after the conclusion of the beloved animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. It follows the Gaang, now in their adult years, as they look for the staff of a previous Avatar, Sonam, that could be used to grant people the ability to Airbend, or control wind. Competing with a non-bending group called the Denied, and finding another surviving Airbender, Tagah, it’s a race to find the staff before it falls into the wrong hands.

Spiderman: Brand New Day

Over the next four years, he continues with his duties as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spiderman. But when a telepath starts attacking Department of Damage Control facilities looking for something called V-Max, he has to deal with the internal conflict that is telling those who used to be closest to him about their relationship, and spider puberty.
