KSIM students can order a hoodie as a part of their uniform right now – an addition on which student council worked hard to make it happen
Good news for everyone who ever felt cold in class or breaks: hoodies became a uniform option, which may be ordered at the moment and received in school, like other uniform items.
The idea came from student council members and they collaboratively worked on hoodie design and its delivery options with the administration in order for it to be approved – a process which was described to take some time.
Hoodies are an option and not a requirement, so nobody has to order one. They are expected to be blue, non zip and have a KSIM symbol – a similar style to other uniform items.
Students say that hoodies may become a more comfortable and practical uniform item, especially for colder times.
“I would like to order because our school uniform does not include a comfortable and warm jacket other than a sweater” – one student said. Both students that were interviewed made the same point about lack of warm uniform items beyond the sweater. Hoodies at the moment may fill this gap.
Whether it becomes a common sight around school will depend on how many people order one. Student council member mentioned that for those who missed the hoodie ordering deadline, the opportunity to order it later in the school year is also present
